Biliteracy Pathway Recognitions

 

The California Department of Education offers the Pathways to Biliteracy recognition program for students in preschool, kindergarten, elementary, and middle school who have demonstrated progress towards bilingual and biliterate proficiency. Graduating high school students have the opportunity to earn the State Seal of Biliteracy.

CA State Biliteracy Pathways Certificate given to Prek-8 DLI Students:

  • Participation: All DLI students will receive this recognition. 
  • Home Language Development: All students with a home language of Spanish in AERIES will receive this recognition.
  • Attainment: 6th and 8th grade students who meet the district’s criteria in both English and Spanish will receive this recognition.
